Don't forget, everyone, that for next month's meeting (June 11) the choice of books is up to you.

1. Come prepared to discuss your book. You're the only one who's read it so you have to explain to us what you liked about it, what you didn't like, and why we should or shouldn't read it.

2. Message me here by Wednesday, June 10 if there is a particular food item you'd like me to bring related to your book.

I'm glad you liked the book, Michaela. Hopefully our discussion makes more sense now that you've read the book. Like you said, Brent was a weird, kinda messed up kid but we all are in our own ways, right? It's just interesting to sort of live vicariously through another person and experience what they've experienced through their words. That's the beauty of books for me. What I got out of the story is that there's always hope no matter how badly you think you've messed up.

Jessica, the pictures of Brent are on this website: http://burnjournals.com/content.html. It's like a little slide show and you have to click on where it says "Author Brent Runyon" to see it.

i finished burn journals! wow that guy swears alot. some parts were weird or slow but all around it was a great book! you guys were right Brent was weird but i guess that if he wasn't we would be reading about a normal kid who didn't set himself on fire and it would be really boring. I give the book a thumbs up!
