Hey everybody, sorry I wasn't at the meeting yesterday, but I went to my Harbor Cruise dance at school, and couldn't make it. Anyway, I haven't finished my book yet, I still need a few more pages to go , but the book I'm reading is Boy Toy
I would AND would not recommend this bookto you guys. I would, because it is a very well developed plot that makes you want to keep reading(which is what a book is all about). On the other hand i would not recomend it because of all the sexual content in it and a bit of language. You guys and girls from the book club might want to read it, but i would not suggest it because I don't know how mature you are and how well you would handle the book. Overall it was a good book. Again sorry I couldn't make it, hope you guys had fun.

So what book are we reading next?

Hey Joanna, I'm glad to hear you'r better. I saw The Boy In The Striped Pajamas. I don't know if Michaela has yet, but i loved. It has a sort of prdictable ending, but it's still good.

Hi Guys,

Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments. I'm doing much better now. I've just had to take it really easy and baby my back a lot. You don't appreciate your mobility until you lose it for a while! :)

Here are the books that I read:
39 Clues: Maze of Bones by Rick Riordan (this is a 10 book series - only 3 have been published and I'm dying to read the rest)
Under the Baseball Moon by John Ritter (takes place in San Diego - in Ocean Beach!)
101 Ways to Dance by Kathy Stinson (didn't love this one...it's pretty graphic and deals with some sexually controversial stuff)
So Yesterday by Scott Westerfeld
Diary of a Teenage Girl: My Name is Chloe by Melody Carlson
Guitar Highway Rose by Brigid Lowry (she's an Australian author so some of the language is a little different but not a bad story)

I'm super excited to hear about The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. Have you seen the movie?

Jessica -i'm doing the boy in the stripped (striped?) pajamas.

Joanna - WOW! I hope you're back is all better! Who is going to take care of your cats? Plus book club without you wouldn't be book club at all!

I'm not sure how I hurt it. There wasn't one specific traumatic episode that I can pinpoint. I think it was just the strain of flying and carrying two heavy cat carriers and maybe I twisted it somehow. I'm not sure, but it was the most intense pain I've ever been in. I'm about 85% better now. It's still really stiff and sore in the mornings when I first get up, but once I get going it's ok. Thanks for asking! :)

I'm sad that you girls are all going to miss next month's meeting, but I wasn't able to change the date before the calendars got printed. :( Oh well...it's a good opportunity for us to take advantage of this site to share and discuss!

I was out of the library all last week because I threw my back out and I couldn't leave my apartment. I ended up reading 7 books in 6 days! They were all so good...I don't know which one I should do for book club!
